Nathan Ward
Nathan Ward is now a Parish Priest who spent 20yrs working in various community and custodial settings. In this work he had responsibility for both establishing and managing complex Safeguarding environments.
He is passionate about mission and has undertaken several studies on Church growth.
He has founded two charities and continues to work and speak on issues of social justice.
He is married with two children and is a magician in his spare time — using the creative arts to tell people about Jesus.
Who are they?
A good question!
We hold no official positions within the church other than our licenses to serve, one as Incumbent and one with Permission To Officiate. We are not members of General Synod, though Nathan is a member of his Diocesan Synod.
We are passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus in and from a safe and welcoming church.
We consulted widely both within and outside the church and are grateful to those who gave their advice and wisdom.
We looked at Best Practice and at Failures, again both in church and secular settings.
We tested our proposals against notorious past failures and the reports that resulted from them.
Our ideas have evolved as a result of all this input and we welcome further scrutiny and proposals.
Graham Lewis
Graham Lewis is a retired Parish Priest and Engineer.
He was NSM priest of a church in Kent for 15 years and one in Sussex for 6 years.
He was for 45 years an engineer, initially developing diesel engine controls and then designing and improving factories and business processes.
He was married to Marilyn for 40 years till her death in 2014. He has four adult children and 5 surviving grandchildren. He is now married to a fellow vicar after she tripped over his brolly at a funeral.
