REPORT A CONCERN?

This is a comment piece NOT a place to report an actual concern. If someone is in immediate danger, ring 999 and tell the Police. To find your local safeguarding team, go to www.achurchnearyou.com and click the Safeguarding menu item (at the top of the page on a PC or the bottom on a mobile - please don't ask!) which will eventually take you to your diocesan team.

Here's a suggested experiment:

  1. Try to get ready to report a concern about something in your local church starting at https://www.churchofengland.org/ or at any faith organisation website (see our post 'Time to go Nationwide' for examples

  2. Do the same thing at this website: https://rainhamchurch.co.uk/  It's not perfect but, when you get to it, their button links to a 24/7 service provided by a contractor. Please don't experiment with it!   This is what we want to see on every Church of England website, albeit on the front page.

So, imagine if every church website had this:

Click it and see what it links to. You can happily fill in imaginary details. Please don't use real information except for your own email address so we can send you an acknowledgement (a copy of your answers).
